Disney Interactive Studios' highly anticipated platformer wowed when it debuted at E3, and the company is beginning to ramp up publicity for all things Mickey as we edge closer to the game's holiday release.
"We're thrilled to roll out this Collector's Edition featuring so many unique items including the collectible Disney Epic Mickey figurine and content that will surprise and delight gamers and Disney fans alike," said Graham Hopper, executive vice president and general manager, Disney Interactive Studios. "The addition of the bonus DVD with behind-the-scenes video and more will enhance and expand the overall Disney Epic Mickey experience."
The collector's edition will include the aforementioned Mickey figurine, console skins, a Wiimote faceplate, and a DVD with behind-the-scenes footage of Spector and the dev team creating the game.
Disney Epic Mickey is a Wii exclusive. The collector's edition will retail for $69.99 and is now available for pre-order. A specific release date for the game still hasn't been announced.
Sharkey says: We were impressed with Epic Mickey when we got a close up of the game at E3. Our only complaint is that we won't get to see Mickey step back into the spotlight in HD.
