Activision Blizzard reveals the new Tony Hawk game and its plastic skateboard controller.
The past couple of weeks have seen quite a lot of buzz surrounding
Activision Blizzard's new Tony Hawk game. As teased by the Hawkman's own Twitter feed, today saw the unveiling of the project's name --
Tony Hawk Ride -- along with the first image of the new plastic-looking skateboard peripheral.
A
Tony Hawk Ride teaser site is now live, and is devoid of content save for a shot of the new skateboard device and a date which suggests that June 2nd (the first day of E3) will be when the game will be revealed proper.

Are you prepared to mount a fake skateboard in your living room?
GT.com posted an
exclusive look at the first trailer and the controller.
We're expecting to be able to bring you our own coverage of Tony Hawk Ride as E3 kicks off in earnest on June 2nd. Stay tuned, Hawk fans.
Bryn says: The controller is cool-looking. Just how feasible it will be for gamers to use effectively remains to be seen. At least we're promised something a bit more "gamey" than the Wii's Balance Board.
The big question, surely: How much does this thing cost?
