Earlier today, EA officially announced that Washington Wizards guard and NBA All-Star Gilbert Arenas will grace the cover of NBA Live 08. With an eccentric persona that involves tossing his jersey into the crowd, and wearing the number zero, the player known as "the Hibachi" and "Agent Zero" is a logical fit for the series.

"This is a dream come true," said Arenas. "I'm a huge gamer and have been playing NBA Live since 1995. I never imagined that I would see my face on the cover of an EA Sports video game."


Throw in the fact that Arenas sponsors a Halo 2 clan, and you've got a logical candidate for a cover star. We'll have more coverage on NBA Live 08 shortly.
