Activision CEO Bobby Kotick predicted during yesterday's investors conference call that Call of Duty: Black Ops would be the biggest entertainment launch of the year. We like the shooter's chances even more after seeing its latest hilarious TV spot, There's a Soldier in All of Us.

NBA star Kobe Bryant and late night host Jimmy Kimmel get in on multiplayer mayhem in a brilliant ad that depicts (mostly) everyday people becoming hardened online warriors. The ad was conceived by Taco Bell Chihuahua agency TBWA/Chiat/Day and directed by up-and-comer Rupert Sanders, the man behind the very cool POV escape commercial for the X-Men Origins: Wolverine videogame.

Call of Duty: Black Ops ships for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Windows PCs, and the Nintendo Wii on Tuesday.

Sharkey says: Great ad. I like how they included custom logos on weapons, with Kimmel's RPG emblazoned with "Proud N00b" and Kobe's "Mamba." Nice touch. I never thought Black Ops had a chance to top Modern Warfare 2, but there is a huge buzz around this game as it edges closer to launch, and according to VG Chartz, Black Ops has already sold more than 2.3 million copies through pre-order -- in the Americas alone. What's your bet? Will Black Ops beat the lofty 20-million-copies-sold bar set by MW2?
